About Roberta Powell

Greetings! My name is Roberta (Berta) Powell, and I was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. My husband, Larry, and I have two grown sons and daughters-in-law and are the proud grandparents of 3 grandchildren, ages 5, 13, and 15. We enjoy camping, gardening, and feeding our friends and family!

As a 1999 graduate of U.G.F. (now the University of Providence), I became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in 2001, and have served women, children, couples, and families in this community ever since. I especially enjoy working with depressed and anxious women, helping families through empowering moms. I am a believer that “change comes in relationship,” and focus heavily on the importance of a healthy attachment process in both brain development and healing.

I have known Josh Holloway since 2011, and have witnessed his strong commitment to helping individuals and families improve their functioning and relationships. Having been Josh’s clinical supervisor as he worked toward licensure, I was honored when he asked me to join Open Door as both a clinician and supervisor of clinical interns. I am looking forward to mentoring a new generation of competent and compassionate therapists, as we serve our community together!
